Michael currently serves as the Interim Market Director for the Americas at RICS. In this role, he oversees strategic operations across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean, driving policy engagement and promoting best practices within the built environment sector. With more than 20 years of experience in management and compliance, Michael has been with RICS since 2012, guiding the organization’s efforts to uphold professional standards and support responsible practice.

During his tenure with RICS, and indeed throughout his career, Michael has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing thought leadership in public policy, regulatory frameworks, and professional standards, with a growing focus on sustainability in recent years.

Prior to joining RICS, Michael served as Director of Compliance at a major non-profit housing provider in New York City.

Michael’s commitment to advancing standards and advocacy is reflected in his service on numerous boards and his consulting work with community-based organizations in both New York City and Washington, D.C.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a master’s degree in Public Administration.

Asha has close to 20 years of principal investment experience across private equity, credit and venture capital. Over the course of her career, she has underwritten over US$15 billion transactions. Her particular focus as a generalist investor is creating new and growing business units and entering new product strategies and markets.

Asha co-founded Anabeya in July 2023 and formally launched in October 2023. Previously, Asha served as Chief Investment Officer at Conduit Capital, where she lead product incubation and strategic growth. Prior to this, she was at Värde Partners, building a pioneering research and execution team, expanding global operations, and driving ESG and philanthropic initiatives.

Earlier, at Accenture, Asha was part of IMAC—a mobile-centric business unit that became a major revenue driver. She led M&A, strategic investments, and joint ventures. Before that, she co-founded Avetio, a mobile tech startup, taking it from concept to revenue and securing angel funding.

Her career began in real estate private equity at Lehman Brothers, followed by a leadership role at HSBC, where she managed a $200M mandate to build a global direct investment portfolio. Throughout her journey, Asha has consistently combined innovation, strategy, and impact across industries and markets.

Asha holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Economics from the London School of Economics. She is Capital Markets Group Co-Chair at Urban Ovation, a community focused on creating solutions for a better built environment. Asha was a member of the global real estate investment committee at Värde Partners, GP board and IC observer at PiLabs, Chair and voting member of The Conduit EIS Impact Fund, voting member for the RuralWorks investment committee. She was a strategic advisor to Tidal Impact, a global impact management and investment firm and The Conduit impact investing champion from 2021-2024, for which she co-created and hosted a podcast series called “Humanising Investment”, sharing stories of institutional investing entrepreneurs including Sir Ronald Cohen and Liesel Pritzker Simmons. Asha is a member of Nexus Global, a network of next gen philanthropists, impact investors and social entrepreneurs.

William (Bill) is an accomplished real estate investment executive and advisor with two decades of experience operating at the convergence of institutional real estate investment, operating platforms, and technology-led innovation. His career spans roles across the Americas, Europe, and the UK, where he has built, scaled, and advised global investment managers, regional developers & operators and early-stage ventures.

Bill co-founded Anabeya in July 2023 and formally launched in October 2023. Prior to that, he served as Head of UK & European Housing at Nuveen, where he led housing strategies across multiple asset classes including build-to-rent, student accommodation, senior affordable housing, and single-family rental. He oversaw landmark joint ventures such as Stay (with Kronos) in Spain, a pan-European PBSA platform (with Value One & Milestone), and a sustainability-led SFR initiative (with Apache) in Cambridge. He also led the Castleforbes BtR project in Dublin with Eagle Street and HESTA, and supported TIAA’s investment into Concrete Ventures, Nuveen’s European PropTech initiative.

Previously at Round Hill Capital, Bill led the Alternatives & Ventures division, driving innovation across serviced apartments, co-living, co-working, and affordable housing. He co-founded Round Hill Ventures, backing 18 PropTech startups and securing strategic investment from Ivanhoé Cambridge. He also launched Modomo (now Reboxd), a modular housing venture, and helped spin out a multi-segment living operator built around Nido, later acquired by CPPIB.

Bill began his career in Latin America as Managing Director at Swiss Finance & Property, establishing a regional platform across six countries. He also co-founded Oasis Collections, a hybrid hospitality platform backed by Hyatt, and held early roles at Moore Capital and Triangle Capital.

In addition to his executive roles, Bill advises technology-led businesses such as Casafari, Airlite, and REalyse, and serves as a Venture Partner at Concrete Ventures.

He is bilingual in English and Spanish, and brings a forward-thinking approach to the built environment, with a strategic emphasis on sustainability, emerging technologies, and the evolving dynamics of modern living. Outside of work, he prioritizes family time and maintains a strong commitment to health and wellness through diverse personal pursuits.

Ana-Mihaela is an architect with extensive experience in interior architecture, furniture design, new builds, conversions, and sustainability. At the core of all the areas she pursued was a deep desire to improve the human experience in and with her projects. She has more than 40 years of experience, acquired through her own practice and by working with various architecture firms.

Ana-Mihaela shared her experience with architecture students at the "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism (Bucharest, Romania) for many years, teaching there from 2000 to 2012.

Among her many achievements is her Ph.D. thesis, "The Conversion: A Solution to Optimize the Built Space", in which she thoroughly researched and analyzed numerous conversions in Europe and North America, addressing issues of sustainability, retrofitting, and the circular economy. Most notably, she approached the subject with a visionary perspective many years before it became mainstream.

Ana-Mihaela currently serves on the Board of the University Women's Club of Montreal (UWCM), an organization founded in 1927 by women graduates to promote social connection, responsibility, and the advancement of women in all aspects of life. UWCM is affiliated with the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW), which holds special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). CFUW is also a member of Graduate Women International, a global network committed to human rights, education, and social justice.

Alexandra is a purpose-driven leader and entrepreneur with a focus on maintaining a high level of expertise in sustainability and real estate asset and portfolio strategies. Her objective is to assist as many real estate owners as possible in integrating the latest best practices, including around sustainability, into their real estate activities and in future-proofing their portfolios. Alexandra has over 25 years experience, during which time she has held a number of senior roles. She currently serves as President of Alexandra Capital Inc., a boutique practice with a focus on sustainable investing strategy, change management and transformations. She is also the Founder of SAM Curated, an online library and platform established to provide access to the latest best practices related to climate risks, sustainability and ESG for use primarily in asset management and portfolio strategies, but not only. Throughout her career, Alexandra has been involved in projects in Canada, the US, the UK, Europe, and internationally, which has allowed her to gain experience in all asset classes (commercial property and infrastructure).

Alexandra is involved with a number of organizations and projects, such as the OECD and the RICS. Most recently, Alexandra co-authored a research study on the "Impact of Climate Risks and Sustainability Factors on Commercial Real Estate Values", a subject she sees as crucial in making the business case for decarbonizing the built environment.
